Poems, write yourselves.
I’m really REALLY glad I gave this write one poem a day on weekdays a shot.
If you think writing one poem a day is easy…it is NOT.
Inspiration is hard to find.
Sometimes, there’s simply nothing on my mind.
“Look out your window and write what you see,” said Bill Holm.
I’ve looked out that window a million times, and there’s no poem.
Sometimes a wisp of an idea breezes by,
Then I am distracted from it by an annoying fly.
“Put a nugget of universal truth in your poem to make it resonate.”
Here’s a nugget, I like sleeping late.
Poems, I wish that you would write yourselves,
Either that, or that I might find a colony of versifying elves.
